Well, now the all the hype is over, both good and bad, HEART is just a pleasant addition to Valencia St. and the Mission. It's been open for a couple of months now and it has settled right in. A combination wine bar/rest. /art gallery it can get rather busy, but that's because it is all about kicking back and drinking wine out of a mason jar, munching of food from the kitchenette, listening to hip hop and blues and mingling with you're friends or meeting new ones. You're young you're middle age, you're old who cares. It's about great wine and good food. Its like a little slice of Europe right there on the corner of 21st St. and Valencia. The prices are moderate for both food and wine and you get an art gallery thrown in the mix.

This is one of the best additions to the Valencia St. Borough in a long time. Dillon Forte's Tattoo parlor/Art studio. When you walk by and see the art displayed on the wall like the one above, you just stop in you're tracks. When you peer inside and see the hardwood floors an beautiful couches lining the wall you are just so tempted to go inside, even if you're not particularly looking for a tattoo. The young lady above is gives you an example of the tattoo side of the business. If you are strolling on Valencia St. just turn on 22nd St. to the middle of the block and take a peek. I think this is a great idea that is becoming very popular in the neighborhood, combining business and art.

At the corner of Guerrero  and 22nd. St. just down the street from Valencia St. you will find the LONE PALM, just about the best cocktail bar in the Mission District. When you walk in you will find tables covered with white table clothes and candles giving off a warm glow and soft sensual music giving the place a romantic glow. You also have the option of sitting at the bar. This is the perfect place for that first date where you can relax have one of their great cocktails or imported beer or a glass of wine from their fabulous selection. Not you're typical local bar most of the patrons are dressed casual but clean. Looking for a place to impress that first date? This is the place.

Yes, this is the coolest Video rental store in the city. You can go to you're big chain rental stores or the one around the corner, Lost Weekend will do you just right. They go out of their way to maintain the most diverse video selections you can find. Oh, you get the latest releases, but you can spend hours roving through the sections that will present you with so videos that you have never seen or ever heard about. You will walk in looking for one and you will walk out wiht three or four.

The sales persons all know what they are talking about and will give you an honest answer if you want to know if something is just a waste of time to rent. Wed. if half price day.
